Taper Resignation: Stephen G. Albert is resigning his position as managing director of the Mark Taper Forum, apparently to take a top job at a Texas theater. “He will be sorely missed,” said Taper board chairman J. David Haft. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Alley Theatre in Houston said an announcement is expected today about who will occupy the theater’s newly created post of executive director; sources say Albert is the front-runner for the job.
