Pollution Research Says Restated Loss to Increase
Pollution Research & Control Corp., a Glendale company that makes air pollution monitoring devices, said it expects its restated loss for the year that ended Dec. 31, 1990, to increase to $2.9 million from a loss of $1.8 million, due to the writeoff of assets of units that it divested during the year.
Last year, the company sold 75% of its Air Instruments & Measurement subsidiary to its management in exchange for royalties from the unit’s sales.
Pollution Research said it recently changed its fiscal year end from June 30 to Dec. 31.
Separately, the company said it received a new contract award worth $300,000 to supply air pollution monitoring systems for Madrid, Spain. Pollution Research said it had received $1 million worth of such orders during the last five months.
