Who’s Who on County Retirement Board
The nine-member retirement board manages a $1.5-billion pension fund on behalf of most of county government’s 16,000 employees and some other workers. Following are the board members.
ELECTED:
Mary Abbott, supervisor in the County Retirement Office. Elected by general membership, most of whom are county workers, to second term on Jan. 1, 1989.
Pat Brunner, chairman of the pension board, Sheriff’s Department lieutenant. Elected by public safety employees to third term on July 1, 1989.
Keith Concannon, retired county employee. Elected by retired members to second term on Jan. 1, 1990.
Sara Ruckle, senior investigator in the county district attorney’s office. Elected by general membership to first term on Jan. 1, 1990.
APPOINTED (by the County Board of Supervisors):
Victor Heim, adviser for assessor’s office. Appointed on Oct. 17, 1989, to second term.
Thomas Lightvoet, private financial investor. Appointed for his first term on May 1, 1989.
Gregory Politiski, attorney. Appointed to third term on Nov. 13, 1990.
Robert Thomas, former county administrative officer. Appointed to his second term on Oct. 17, 1989.
AUTOMATIC:
Robert L. Citron, county treasurer-tax collector. Serves on the board by virtue of his position with the county.
Note: All members serve for three-year terms and may be reappointed or reelected.
