DIOXIN SHE WROTE: Laguna Niguel author Janet Keller was in New York Monday to accept a $50,000 prize for her first novel, “Necessary Risks.” Keller, 57, was a runner-up for a $500,000 award that cable TV mogul Ted Turner bestows yearly to encourage original works of fiction with creative solutions to global problems. . . . Keller’s novel, to be published next year, features a young veterinarian who turns environmental activist after treating animals with birth defects caused by dioxin exposure.
