CAMP GOOD DEAL: While several private organizations offer summer camp for handicapped children (E3), only a handful of Orange County city recreation departments offer day camps for such youths. Among them are Fullerton, Santa Ana and Anaheim. At the Anaheim Therapeutic Recreation Center, day campers play sports and develop independent living skills. “We introduce them to the world of nature,” said Anaheim Recreation Coordinator Jennifer McGlone, “but camp gives them the independence to rely on themselves too.”
