Arcadia : Anti-Graffiti Proposal
The City Council gave preliminary approval to an anti-graffiti law, prohibiting the sale of aerosol spray paint and dye to anyone under 18.
The law would require businesses to keep pressurized spray paint or dye in a locked area and post a sign bearing information about the ban in letters at least half an inch tall. Shopkeepers who violate the law could face a maximum penalty of $500 or six months in jail.
A final vote is scheduled June 18.
