Hoffman’s New Deal: Dustin Hoffman, who co-stars with Robin Williams in Tri-Star’s upcoming Peter Pan epic “Hook,” has reached a three-year production agreement with Columbia Pictures and Tri-Star Pictures that will give them first-look rights to all of his movies. The agreement calls for Hoffman’s Punch Productions to develop and produce feature film projects in which he also may star. Tri-Star--along with its Japanese owner, Sony Corp.--has high hopes for “Hook,” a fantasy spectacle directed by Steven Spielberg that opens next Christmas. Hoffman, a two-time Academy Award winner, has starred in such films as “Rain Man” and “Kramer vs. Kramer.”
