Volunteers are needed by UC San Diego researchers to test a new anti-anxiety medication for eight weeks.

Volunteers must either be males or non-childbearing females and 18 to 65 years old, a spokeswoman said. They should be generally in good health but experiencing feelings of overwhelming nervousness, worry or fear much of the time.

Participants accepted for the study of the medication’s effectiveness will receive a free physical examination and follow-up exams during their weekly clinic visits.
