Bowen Pitches No-Hitter, 11-0
Mitch Bowen pitched a no-hitter and struck out 15 to lead the Glendale Valley Rangers to an 11-0 victory over visiting Glendale-La Salle on Friday in a Glendale Connie Mack League game.
Bowen (2-0), a freshman right-hander from College of the Canyons, struck out the side in the second, fourth and fifth innings, struck out seven consecutive batters in one stretch, walked two and threw 88 pitches. He also had two hits and two runs batted in.
Andy Shaw was three for three with a solo home run for the Valley Rangers (3-0).
