Religion and Sexuality

I am beginning to understand why I have flirted with agnosticism for so many years. After reading Cromey’s article, I found myself deeply disturbed, though I don’t know why. I have been hearing such blasphemy for years.

If the Presbyterians and other denominations accept the behavior of gays and lesbians, and get in the business of teaching kids the enjoyment of sex, then what the church will be guilty of is encouraging premarital and extramarital sex despite the ever-increasing problems of overpopulation, venereal disease and AIDS. This is the typical example of the church compromising with Satan.

Apostasies in the so-called liberal denominations are enough to run this African-American back to the old-time fundamentalist Southern Baptists, or perhaps it would be better to attend no church at all. The church must remain conservative over our moral standards, for God is a constant and man is ever changing.
