Foxworth’s ‘Buycott’ Doesn’t Sell With Some
I wish that Foxworth’s opinions could be read all across the country. He does his cause far more harm than good.
He is arrogant when he calls legitimate criticism “ideological terrorism” and decides to fight back instead of listen.
And he is a hypocrite when he fails to acknowledge that the First Amendment covers the Rev. Wildmon and his followers as much as it does the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, for whom Foxworth expresses admiration. GLAAD has had its concerns about the content of TV programming, and far from being mocked or belittled, its concerns were met with empathy resulting in program changes.
