Four adjoining businesses in a commercial complex burglarized over the weekend reported that an estimated $50,000 worth of computers and office equipment was stolen, authorities said Monday.

An employee of the National Business Brokerage Co. entered his office Saturday morning and found a hole in the wall in the brokers’ work area, leading to the Health Clinic next door, said Lt. Bob Rivas of the Sheriff’s Department.

Holes were also found in walls leading to a Domino’s Pizza franchise and Camera Associates in the complex at 22792 Centre Drive, Rivas said.

“There were holes in the walls with enough room for an average-size man to crawl through,” Rivas said.

A utility closet in the brokerage with a door leading to the rear of the complex was the suspected point of entry, Rivas said.

“We think somebody either picked that lock or had a key,” he said.

Computers, TVs, videocassette recorders, typewriters, copiers, facsimile machines and calculators were among the items reported stolen, Rivas said.
