California IN BRIEF : SOUTH LAKE TAHOE : Couple Sought in Abduction of Girl

Officials in California and Nevada sought a man and a woman who allegedly abducted an 11-year-old South Lake Tahoe girl waiting for a school bus. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Sgt. Warren Smith said deputies and officers in Nevada’s Carson City, Washoe County and Douglas County were looking for a two-tone gray sedan. An airplane and a helicopter also were involved in the search and officers went door to door in the neighborhood where the girl was last seen. The girl’s father said he saw a car stop and somebody pull his daughter inside. The girl was described as 4 feet, 6 inches, weighing 80 pounds and having long blond hair. She was wearing pink pants and a pink top.
