Ailing Unisys Corp. has asked bank lenders to ease terms of an unsecured $1.25-billion credit line, according to American Banker magazine--but the company said it hasn’t made a formal request. The magazine said the 23-member banking syndicate will probably oblige if the computer giant agrees to secure the revolving credit line with collateral. Spokesman J. Peter Hynes said that although Unisys has not requested new terms for its credit line, it is continuing its “communications process” with banks.
