Judge Dumps Williams Case: A federal judge in New York Wednesday threw out a lawsuit in which a woman claiming to be the illegitimate daughter of the late country music singer Hank Williams sought a share in copyright renewals of his songs. U.S. District Judge John F. Keenan said Cathy Yvonne Stone, 38, waited too long to bring her complaint. The Copyright Act of 1976 has a three-year statute of limitations. The statute of limitations began in her case in 1979, when she was told by the woman who adopted her that Williams might be her father, the judge said.
