Heron, who earned Division II All-America honors five times and made the All-CCAA team four times, was the team’s No. 1 singles player last season and combined with teammate Cindy Hamnquist to take the Division II individual doubles title.

In four seasons with the Broncos, Heron won more than 80% of her matches. An outstanding student, she also completed her undergraduate studies with a 3.99 grade-point average and was a three-time academic All-America selection.

Basketball player Terry Ross was named the top male athlete.
