Gencorp: The technology-based company involved in aerospace, automotive and polymer products reported second-quarter earnings of $13 million, down 53% from the year-ago period, which included a one-time gain of $18 million on the sale of broadcast properties. The 1991 quarter included only $1 million in extraordinary income, also from the sale of broadcast property. Revenue for the 1991 quarter increased to $500 million from $458 million last year. The Fairlawn, Ohio, firm’s sales increase occurred primarily at Aerojet, its aerospace-defense segment. Sales declined at Gencorp Automotive.
