Great Gardens

Thanks very much for your informative and help regarding English gardens (“Garden Variety of English Culture,” April 21). We have just returned from London and we took your advice and boated up the River Thames to Kew to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Despite bone-chilling temps and rain, we managed to walk among many of the 300-plus acres of natural beauty. Truly gorgeous. This experience and our visit to Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Shakespeare’s birthplace were the outstanding highlights of a memory-filled journey.
