The Wedding’s Off: A blushing bride and dashing groom featured in a Seattle newspaper’s wedding announcements turned out to be two male disc jockeys pulling a fast one. Kent Phillips and Alan Budwill of Seattle’s KPLZ morning show got the Seattle Times to publish a false wedding announcement and photo of themselves in full bride and groom regalia Sunday. The station set up an on-air contest, paying $100 to a listener who found their photo in the paper. The newspaper reported the hoax on the front page of Monday’s editions.
