COUNTYWIDE : 2,600 to Graduate at East County Schools

About 2,600 high school seniors will receive their diplomas this week in graduation ceremonies in three east county school districts, beginning tonight in Thousand Oaks.

About 1,300 students at Conejo Valley, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks and Westlake highs will graduate in separate ceremonies at the schools. The Conejo Valley ceremony will begin at 3 p.m., Westlake High at 5, and Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks at 6.

Oak Park Unified School District will also hold ceremonies at its two high schools. Oak Park High’s 76 seniors will graduate at 7:30 tonight in the school gymnasium. And on Thursday, Oak View High School will hold its ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at the school.

Also Thursday, about 1,200 seniors from the Simi Valley Unified School District will graduate from Royal and Simi Valley highs. Both ceremonies are at the schools and begin at 6 p.m.

Students from Simi Valley’s Apollo Continuation High graduated Tuesday.
