2 Boys Plead Not Guilty in Slayings of 3 Girls
The two 17-year-old suspects in the March slaying of three teen-age girls were arraigned Wednesday in Pasadena Municipal Court.
David Adkins and Burton Vincin Hebrock both pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder. On Tuesday, a judge ruled that the two should be tried as adults. They are charged with murdering Heather Goodwin, 18; Danae Palermo, 17, and Katherine Macaulay, 18, with a shotgun. The victims were all found dead on March 22 in the pool house of a home in the Annandale section of Pasadena.
Adkins and Hebrock both face life sentences without the possibility of parole. Judge Elvira Mitchell set a preliminary hearing for July 25, after which the defendants will be bound over to Superior Court. They will remain in custody without bail.
