Woman Kills Daughter, Takes Her Own Life
A Tarzana woman shot and killed her teen-age daughter in Simi Valley on Wednesday before taking her own life, police said.
The shootings occurred about 4:30 p.m. in a house in the 500 block of Pinecliff Place in the Ventura County city, where 15-year-old Emily Ann Christensen was living with a family.
Christensen and her mother, Karen Marie Christensen, 45, were found dead in an upstairs bedroom after police were called by an unidentified woman in the home. A .44-magnum revolver was in Karen Christensen’s hand, police said.
Lt. Robert Klamser said the homeowners were Emily’s legal guardians.
