A doctor and two health workers were slightly injured Thursday when a suspected car thief fleeing police crashed into their mobile medical office at a Watts intersection, authorities said.

Jose H. Saucedo, 25, of Los Angeles, was behind the wheel of a car reported stolen from Compton when sheriff’s deputies picked up his trail in the unincorporated community of Willowbrook. Officers said Saucedo refused to yield for police and instead took off.

He allegedly led deputies on a two-mile chase before broadsiding the medical mobile unit at the intersection of 92nd and Elm streets.

A doctor and two health workers riding in a truck hauling the Watts Health Foundation mobile were taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center and treated for minor injuries, Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Erickson said. Saucedo complained of a cut on his chin. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of car theft. Bail was set at $5,000.
