A Milwaukee teen-ager filed a civil suit against Luis Polonia and the Pfister Hotel, claiming she suffered “significant physical and emotional damages” from a sexual encounter she had with Polonia in 1989, when he was with the Yankees.

Polonia pleaded guilty to having sex with the girl, then 15, and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $10,000 to the Sexual Assault Treatment Center. The suit, which claimed the hotel was negligent because an employee let the girl and Polonia in through a locked side door, did not state an amount of monetary damages.
