Mixed Reaction to Yearbook Quotes
Let’s suppose Phillip Fivgas, the Buena Park Junior High School teacher who inserted biblical passages into the school’s yearbook, was a practicing satanist. How many parents would have supported his right to free speech if he’d chosen to praise the devil?
Clearly, Mr. Fivgas would be happy to gore my ox, but I’ll bet he wouldn’t want me to sacrifice his. He should go teach in a Christian school, where his weekly Bible verses on the chalkboard would be appropriate.
