HONG KONG: Hong Kong’s governor said the colony’s massive local airport project will be postponed if no agreement is reached with the Chinese by the end of this month. In a radio interview, David Wilson said, however, that the multibillion-dollar project that is expected to be completed in 1997 won’t be shelved. Hong Kong and Britain have held occasional talks since November with mainland officials who have withheld their blessings for the project because of concerns over its size and cost.
