Daniel Martinez took the lead at about the halfway point and won the San Francisco Marathon by almost a minute over veteran Bill Donakowski. Lesley Lehane won the women’s title by an even bigger margin.
Martinez, 29, from South Pasadena, was timed in 2 hours 15.31 minutes. Lehane, 28, of Chestnut Hill, Mass., won in 2:35.33.
