Waste Firm Should Pay for Violations
If, by chance, Waste Management Inc. ramrods its proposed dump site at Weldon Canyon through the appropriate powers that be, the citizens of Ventura should demand a law that states that the company’s coffers will be accessible to a local or state government agency for immediate remedial action concerning any environmental violation.
This would preclude the expensive legal debacles that only time can overcome and would prevent Ventura from being added to Waste Management’s long list of litigious clients.
