THOUSAND OAKS : Taxi Service Hours May Be Extended
Operating hours for a taxi service for seniors and handicapped people may be extended to early evenings under a proposal to be considered today by the Thousand Oaks City Council.
The taxi service operates from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, city traffic engineer Jano Baghdanian said in a report to the council.
The council will consider expanding the service for four hours each day, so that taxis would run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and whether to add additional taxis to the fleet of three station wagons and two minivans.
