Ed Suarez of Columbus, Ga., compiled 1,172 points to win the center fire pistol event at the U.S. Shooting Championships in Chino. More than 600 shooters are competing in the event, held at Prado Tiro Range, to qualify for spots on the 1991 Pan Am Games team and the 1992 Olympic team.
