A 6-year-old girl was found unharmed after she was abducted from the Del Mar Fair, authorities said Thursday.

Kenyon Elizabeth Rowan was found in Hollywood about 5 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. B.G. Creighton of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

Her mother allowed a friend, Larry D. Jackson, a 43-year-old carnival worker, to use her car about 11 p.m. Tuesday while her daughter was sleeping in the back, Creighton said. Jackson was headed for the store and was supposed to return shortly, Creighton said.

Jackson failed to return, and nothing was heard of Kenyon until Wednesday, when she was found by Los Angeles police in Hollywood, Creighton said.

Sheriff’s detectives are looking for Jackson, Creighton said. Jackson, Kenyon and her mother are all transients, Creighton said.
