The trough of low pressure that sprinkled raindrops throughout San Diego County on Thursday will begin moving out today, leaving a warm and sunny weekend, according to the National Weather Service in San Diego.

Alpine, Del Mar, El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Miramar, Oceanside, Poway, Ramona, Spring Valley and San Diego all received traces of rain Thursday, forecaster Dan Atkin reported.

The chance of drizzle may linger through this morning, but skies will turn sunny this morning, signaling a warming trend through early next week, Atkin said.

Once the low pressure trough lifts, the marine layer will again move in, casting clouds over the morning and night skies, but afternoons will turn sunny, he said.

At the beaches, temperatures are expected to range from 63 to 68 today and over the weekend, with sea breezes at 10 to 16 m.p.h. The surf will peak at 2 to 4 feet, with an ocean temperature of about 66 degrees, Atkin said.

The forecast calls for coastal highs to reach 68 to 74 today and through the weekend, with nighttime lows of 57 to 63.
