Playground Program to Begin on Monday

Fullerton’s annual summer playground and wading pools program for youngsters ages 5 to 14 will get under way Monday.

Sponsored by the city’s Community Services Department, the supervised playground program offers such activities as board game tournaments, arts and crafts, softball, baseball, soccer and swimming.

Playground activities will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at Adlena, Byerrum and Valencia parks, and Richman, Maple, Orangethorpe, Woodcrest and Commonwealth schools, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at Topaz School.

Four supervised wading pools will be open for children ages 5 to 12 from noon to 4 p.m. daily. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. The wading pools are at Adlena, Byerrum, Lemon and Valencia parks.
