Temple City : New Rules for Live Oak Park
Groups that regularly use Live Oak Park for sports activities would have to obtain permission from the city’s Community Services Commission under an ordinance tentatively approved by the City Council Tuesday.
The ordinance would limit use of the park to Temple City residents and Temple City-based organizations whose membership is made up of at least 75% city residents.
Community Services Director Victor Kobett said city residents sometimes have been unable to use park facilities because of groups who regularly use the park for sports on Sundays.
Final action on the ordinance is scheduled for July 16.
