Arcadia : All City Staffers Get Raises
The City Council on Tuesday approved a 6% pay hike for all 152 employees.
Under the raises, City Manager George J. Watts will receive an annual salary of $108,084; Police Chief Neal Johnson will make $97,932; Fire Chief Gerald R. Gardner will earn $94,356, and Alex D. McIntyre, assistant to the city manager, will get $67,170.
Beginning police officers will make $34,968 a year, and beginning firefighters will make $32,136.
The employees will get an additional 2% pay raise Jan. 1, said city administrative assistant Gary Rogers.
