WORLD IN BRIEF : KUWAIT : Many Palestinians Will Be Deported

Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheik Saud Nasir Sabah said his country intends to reduce dramatically the number of Palestinians in Kuwait and urged Americans to be patient with the pace of change in the emirate as it rebuilds from the Persian Gulf War. “Don’t expect us to do more than we are able to do,” he told editors and reporters of the Washington Post. “I can’t understand why people are trying to rush things.” Before the Iraqi invasion, he said, there were 380,000 Palestinians in Kuwait.
