2 Theo Lacy Inmates Caught; 2 Still Sought
ORANGE — Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday night caught two inmates--both in their jail-issued boxer shorts--who escaped from the Theo Lacy Branch Jail and were seeking two others, authorities said.
Bojar Ruelas, 24, was captured minutes after his 6:30 p.m. escape from the medium-security facility on The City Drive, Sheriff’s Lt. Harold Schaffroth said. Luis Granados, also 24, was captured in a nearby neighborhood shortly after 8 p.m.
Authorities were still searching for Casimiro Sanchez, 40, and Jose Cruz, 22. Neither is considered a threat to the public, Schaffroth said.
The four inmates were in custody pending trial on drug charges, authorities said.
