SIMI VALLEY : West End Suffers Power Blackout
The west end of Simi Valley suffered a power blackout for more than an hour Monday morning, caused by the failure of an underground cable, a Southern California Edison official said.
Electricity was disrupted at 5:57 a.m. for about 360 residential and industrial customers, affecting residents in the Wood Ranch development and Shadow Ridge apartment complex.
The outage also affected an industrial area along Easy Street, said Carol Larson, area manager.
Electricity was restored to all but seven customers by 7:21 a.m. Power to the entire area was back by 11:30 a.m., Larson said.
