Woman Discovers Body in Back Seat of Her Car
A woman leaving her house in Whittier on Wednesday discovered another woman’s body in the back seat of her car, authorities said. The victim had been slain, but authorities declined to say how she was killed until an autopsy was conducted.
Sheriff’s Deputy Mary Landreth said the owner of the car came home Tuesday night and parked her car unlocked in front of her home in the 11900 block of Parise Drive in an unincorporated part of Whittier. When she prepared to leave again about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, she discovered the body in the back seat. The woman did not know the victim, Landreth said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately known, was described as a Latina in her late 20s or early 30s.
