A little old business, a lot of new business and the business of black filmmakers in Hollywood make up the small screen agenda this weekend.

Two old and pretty much forgotten network series from this past season pop up again. First, ABC’s “Under Cover” returns tonight at 9 p.m. (7)(3)(10)(42) with a two-part spy drama set in Iraq that was pulled from the network lineup last January. “Lifestories,” NBC’s acclaimed medical drama, likewise returns Sunday at 7 p.m. (4)(36) (39) with an episode that recalls the tragic story of Loyola Marymount basketball star Hank Gathers.

“Business World” will preview the upcoming summit of Western economic powers in London Sunday at 11 a.m., (7)(3), 9:30 a.m. (42). Guests include Leon Brittan, commissioner to the European Economic Commission; Jacques Delors, president of the European Economic Commission; former French President Valery Giscard D’Estaing and Joseph Gawronski, Italian Minister of Economic Progress.

“American Interests” will debate the role of Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev at the summit Sunday at 10 a.m. on Channel 28. And Secretary of State James Baker and Gorbachev adviser Igor Malashen will discuss the summit on “This Week With David Brinkley,” 11:30 a.m. (7)(3), 10:30 a.m. (10), 11 a.m. (42).

In “Straight From the Hood,” airing Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 11, John Singleton, the latest black filmmaking sensation, discusses his youth in South-Central Los Angeles, his inspirations and his film “Boyz N the Hood.” Meanwhile, tonight at 8 p.m., CBS (2)(8) will screen Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing,” the film that helped open the door for many of today’s black directors.
