El Toro’s Garner Wins Golf Tournament
Ben Garner of El Toro defeated Ted Oh of Torrance in the second hole of a playoff to win the boys’ 13-14 division at the Las Vegas Founders Legacy Junior golf tournament Friday in Henderson, Nev.
Garner had shot 72 Friday to force the playoff.
In the 15-18 division, Tiger Woods of Cypress shot three-under-par 69 but finished six shots behind the winner in fourth place.
Anthony Rodriguez of San Antonio, Tex., also shot 69 and won the tournament with a three-day total of 209. Woods, who shot 76 Thursday, finished at 215.
