Civil War Revisited
What a pity! Gibson and his wife, Esme, missed one of the highlights of any Civil War odyssey. They may have visited the boyhood home of Jefferson Davis and the boyhood home of Abraham Lincoln, but they unfortunately missed Stratford Hall, Va. Surely, when the Gibsons traveled 8,300 miles by car this past spring, wanting “total immersion” in the Civil War, they should have driven that extra 69 miles from Richmond to Stratford Hall.
