Passenger List Grows as Stork, Jet Rendezvous
A jetliner that left Los Angeles with 243 passengers aboard Friday landed here with 244.
Delta Air Lines Flight 264 made an unscheduled landing in Albuquerque when passenger Joella Sison gave birth while airborne.
The new mother and 6-pound boy were taken to Presbyterian Hospital, where the mother was reported to be “just fine,” said hospital spokeswoman Anne Kircher.
It wasn’t immediately clear who helped with the delivery 40 minutes into the flight over the California-Arizona border, said Delta spokeswoman Jackie Pate.
Sison and her husband, Richard, were flying to Atlanta with their other two children.
