NEWPORT BEACH : Buses Rerouted to New Transfer Center
Several bus routes that formerly served Fashion Island have been rerouted to the Newport Transportation Center.
The new center, at 1550 Avocado Ave., near MacArthur Boulevard and San Joaquin Hills Road, has replaced Fashion Island as a transfer and layover point.
Affected are Route 57, from Santa Ana to Newport Beach via Bristol Street; Route 61, from Santa Ana to Newport Beach via Grand Avenue, Redhill Drive and Jamboree Road; Route 65/65A, from Santa Ana to Balboa via Culver Drive and Coast Highway; Route 89, from Newport Beach to Laguna Hills via Laguna Canyon Road; Route 95, from Long Beach to Newport Beach via the Irvine Business Complex, and Route 97, from Newport Beach to San Clemente via Coast Highway.
All routes will continue to provide service to Fashion Island along parts of Newport Center Drive. For schedule and route information, call the Orange County Transit District at (714) 636-RIDE.
