A 41-year-old man was shot in the chest and wounded by his 32-year-old brother late Friday, after an argument erupted during a family barbecue, authorities said.
The incident occurred about 10 p.m. Friday at 4141 Dellwood Street in Clairemont when two juveniles at the barbecue began to fight, police said.
The older brother, shot once in the chest with a handgun, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition but is expected to live.
A spokesman for the San Diego Police Department said the suspect is not yet in custody. No names were released.
