5 Club Meds Deal Kids a Free Stay With Parents
Club Med is offering “Kids Free” discounts at five of its properties during certain periods of the year. One child per parent can stay free, and there is no minimum-stay requirement. The deals:
--Ixtapa, Mexico, through Dec. 21; children 1 to 5 years.
--Sandpiper, about five miles north of West Palm Beach, Fla., Aug. 31 through Dec. 21; children 4 months to 5 years.
--Eleuthera in the Bahamas and St. Lucia in the West Indies, Aug. 31 through Dec. 21; children 2 to 5 years.
--Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, through Sept. 8 and Nov. 16 through Dec. 21; children 2 to 5 years.
Sandpiper also offers $200 per week off rates for children 4 months to 5 years until Aug. 31. The same deal is offered for children 6 to 11 until Nov. 2.
With Club Med, the all-inclusive prices cover accommodations, meals, various sports and other special dining and activity programs for children of various ages.

Trading Places Villas & Condos, based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., is offering up to 50% off regular summer rates at properties in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas during a promotion that runs through Oct. 31.

Aviateca, the airline of Guatemala, has introduced a “Mayan Path” fare that features travel to four destinations within Guatemala and Mexico for $399.
Each itinerary includes Guatemala City, the capital; Flores/Tikal; Merida, in the Yucatan area of Mexico, and Mexico City.
The “Mayan Path” fare is available when consumers purchase a regular ticket on Aviateca from either Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans or Miami to Guatemala. Travel must be completed within 30 days.
The regular round-trip economy fare between LAX and Guatemala City is $439.
Normally, round-trip economy fare between Mexico City and Guatemala City is $260 on weekends and $275 on weekdays. The fare between Guatemala City and Merida is $250.
