FILLMORE : Man, 48, Arrested Over Knife Attack on Hotel Roommate
A 48-year-old man is being held at the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of his roommate at the Fillmore Hotel, authorities said.
Bernardo Gaitan Rivera is suspected of stabbing Raul Rizo Sanchez, 22, in the upper chest several times during an argument Monday, Ventura County Sheriff’s Detective Ray Bustillos said.
Rivera was arrested at the scene.
Sanchez was listed in serious but stable condition Tuesday at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital where he was taken after the incident, a hospital spokeswoman said.
