Taper Season Grows: “The Kentucky Cycle,” a nine-play historical saga presented in two parts, has been added to the Mark Taper Forum 1991-92 season. Written by Robert Schenkkan of Van Nuys, the production will take the season’s Feb. 2-March 29 slot. Also joining the schedule is “Fire in the Rain . . . Singer in the Storm,” an autobiographical docudrama by folk singer Holly Near scheduled for Aug. 13-Sept. 27, 1992. The rest of the lineup, officially announced Wednesday: George C. Wolfe’s adaptation of Zora Neale Hurston’s “Spunk” (Sept. 26-Oct. 27); Alan Ayckbourn’s “Henceforward . . .” (Nov. 14-Dec. 29); Shakespeare’s “Richard II” (April 23-June 7) and Sybille Pearson’s “Unfinished Stories” (June 25-July 26).
