Recession or no recession, Clothestime continues to expand.

The Anaheim-based retailer of off-priced young women’s apparel is opening seven new or remodeled stores in August, putting it within a whisper of the 400-store mark.

Two of the remodeled stores are in Orange County--one in Tustin and one in Cypress.

Clothestime will open new stores in Pembroke Pines and Hollywood, Fla., and in Gurnee, Ill. The chain is also opening two new Trend Club stores--its new chain of outlet mall stores--in Vacaville, Calif., and Gurnee, Ill.

The openings will boost the chain’s number of stores to 395.
