VENTURA : Police Say Prowler Seen on Bicycle
A prowler suspected of entering several homes in a Ventura neighborhood and fondling the residents sometimes bicycles through the neighborhood at night, police said.
No victims have been able to give a detailed description of the suspect, Ventura Police Sgt. Roger Nustad said.
But police believe one young man is involved in eight incidents this summer. All have occurred in a neighborhood bounded by Telephone Road, Petit Avenue, Montgomery Street and the Santa Clara River, police said.
In some cases, the suspect merely shines a penlight through windows, Nustad said. At other times, he is believed to have entered homes and fondled residents in their beds. The suspect flees when the victims wake up, Nustad said.
